Shoes for dogs is a concept that is catching on in the industry, so here are a few tips.
  • Dogs will walk funny the first few times they wear the shoes.  This is most likely because their paws suddenly feel bulkier and heavier than normal.
  • Try putting the shoes on your dog for short periods of time everyday for the first week.  This will help them get accustomed to having something on their paws.
  • Positive reinforcement.  Praise the dog or give him/her a healthy treat.  This will help the dog associate wearing the shoes with something they like.
  • Keep their nails short.
  • Remove the shoes after a long outing.
