Steps & Perches

Pet Steps can be an invaluable tool in assisting a pet onto your bed or couch.  However, not all pet steps are created equal. For maximum satisfaction and value, look for these features:

  1. Easy handling - Remember, at times you will need to move the pet steps to a different place in your home.  Ideally, your pet steps should be lightweight and easily toted from one location to another.

  2. Strength - Look at the step's weight capacity. Make sure it's rated for your pet's size. If the steps are not rated for at least a couple hundred pounds, it's probably not constructed very solidly.

  3. Traction - The steps must have adequate surface traction to prevent your pet from slipping. This ensures confidence when your pet uses the steps. Keep in mind, if he begins to slip he'll be reluctant to cooperate.
