Product Description

The Hock Holder is a brace that is deigned to support the ankle of dog.

The hock joint is on the dog's back leg below the knee and corresponds to the ankle on a human. This brace was designed to fit the natural angle of the hock to prevent it from hyper extending. The neoprene wrap also supports the joint medially and laterally allowing your canine friend to move easily and without strain on the joint.

Indications for use:

  • Weak or painful ankle
  • Limping on hind leg

It's not really working. He has a more difficult time walking with it, than without it.

Great product. My only complaint is that my pup tears it off if I am not paying attention! :-) Thanks, Glenn

We bought this product for our 95lb female rottweiler. She had been limping on her hind leg and not putting weight onto it. Vet stated it was just inflammation of her joints. So we bought the joint essentials package as well as this hock brace. The joint essentials supplement worked well. However, the brace made no change whatsoever. She began using her leg much less after 2 weeks her leg became more weak then before using this brace. Once we removed the brace from her leg it took another week for her to begin using the leg more normally. Now she is only on the joint essentials supplements and has been doing much better. Save your money don't buy the hock brace.
