Arthritis occurs in dogs just like it does with people. It is a slowly progressing condition that is caused by the breakdown and destruction of the protective cartilage that covers the bones at the joints. Over time, the weight bearing joints begin to lose the protective cartilage that acts as shock absorbers within the joints. Studies have shown that joint health can be significantly improved by taking a Glucosamine-based supplement. Joint Essentials is a product formulated with Glucosamine hydrochloride as its key ingredient. Dogs produce Glucosamine in their bodies, but as they grow older, their bodies lose the capacity to make enough Glucosamine just when they need it most. The Glucosamine hydrochloride used in our product is taken from the exoskeletons (outer shells) of lobster, crabs, and shrimp. It is the best-absorbed form of Glucosamine for dogs and is 100% safe.
Cartilage contains a high concentration of water. When cartilage begins to breakdown it loses the shock-absorbing water. Glucosamine holds the water in place within the cartilage matrix. Joint Essentials provides a daily dosage of 1000 mg of Glucosamine for dogs 25 lbs or more.

I have been using this product for 2 years for an old 140 pound Great Pyrenees. He would fall down and couldn't get up for awhile. After a few weeks he wasn't falling down anymore and was rising much easier in general. I feel that this product has helped extend his life for the last 2 years. He even still plays with us.
The online service has been great. Once when the product was on back order, I received a personal phone call to let me know when it would ship.

I have only been using the product for a couple of weeks. I believe it is too soon to tell if it is making a difference. I am hopeful that it will make Leo's golden years more comfortable and allow him to continue to be mobile. He is in good health, but he is definitely slowing down due to old age.

The product arrived in just a few days after we ordered it on line. We've had our 16 year old Pomeranian on it for about two weeks. We aren't sure yet but he does seem to be moving about more readily than as gingerly as he did previously. We are hoping this product really helps him out.

I am again endorsing this product. You must keep your dog on it for a while. Add the oil with it and you should notice a difference in how the dog moves. Additionally, your pet's diet/lifestyle plays a role in its eventual health.
I want to point out though.....Do not expect miracle results if you're doing right by using this product on one side...and then on the other side providing less than adequate diet/exercise, or healthy home environment. One cancels the other and is no reflection of the product failing.
My dog gets the best I can give her...and there is no smoking in the house and no lawn chemical use outside. I think all factors in to our pet's health. I have had great results with this product and highly recommend it. If you take good care of your pet and create a healthy environment, this will even work better.
