The three major omega-3 fatty acids are ALA (alpha linolenic acid), EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). They are called essential because they body is unable to make them and must get them from dietary sources.
EFA’s are primary components of the brain (grey matter), retina, and nervous system tissues. EFA’s are so important to the developing brain and eyes that all pregnant mammals need them in optimal levels. They are also important building blocks of cell membranes. Omega-3 essential fatty acids have significant beneficial effects on the heart. They lower blood pressure, decrease growth of atherosclerotic plaques, inhibit platelet function, and reduce the susceptibility of the myocardium to fatal arrhythmias. Daphne is a rescue dog who had 75% hair loss and dull flaky fur and skin when I first took her home. I showed my vet the bottle for the Essential Omega's and she said it was perfect. Daphne has a beautiful coat and skin and she is always getting complements.

Thank you for taking the time to talk to me about my dog Amber. I just wanted to thank you for producing such a great product as your Essential Omegas. Our much loved Amber had been suffering from various skin problems for several years. The most serious was biting the skin on her feet sometimes so much that an abscess would appear and her feet would have to be wrapped. We had taken her to specialist for allergies that were 3 hours away and even they couldn’t help her. Then I found your Essential Omegas and I tried it. In about a month’s time her coat began to shine, her skin had less dandruff, and she had stopped chewing her feet!!!!!!!!!! I can’t thank you enough for putting and end to the awful pain she must have been suffering! I am now going to try other pet products you have available.

Omega 3's and Omega 6's should be given to pet young and old. Do your own research online. There is plenty of info to be had. This is defintely a good product to give to your pet.
